What I find especially useful is that if I forget to switch the iron off after use it will automatically turn off when it doesn't detect movement. The sole plate rarely needs cleaning.

its exelent steam system save my time when ironing my children's school clothes I think every house wife should have it its brilient

I have had quite a few irons over the years and this is the best,Ihave even had a steam generator iron, but my Philips Azur Ionic is way above this,I do not generally like standing ironing especially denim,But my philips Azur just glides over my clothes making ironing a pleasure to do.

Good weight in the iron, smooth and powerful, feels good in the hand moves well, sorts out those creases and greate value for money.

The beauty of the Philips Azur Ionic Steam iron GC4641 has a narrow front which opens up the creases smoothly and makes the task of ironing feel a bit lighter.

Iron was heavier than the previous one, but the glide and balance is excellent. It matches the Which survey.

Apart from the cable being slightly too long and can snag on the ironing board, the iron has been very succesful. It is a goodweight. and I am very pleased with my purchase. Looking to buy another one with same features, especially auto cut-off which is a good safety feature.

The iron intermittently spits out brown water on to the clean garment, necessitating in somecases having to wash the article again. The rubber coating on the handle has started to peal off where you grip it. The product is not yet three years old (purchased 6/10/2009) and has broken (fails to get hot, even though it still lights up). Overall very disappointed with this product as previous Phillips irons have performed much better and lasted much longer.
