CD-soundmachine

Got this a few weeks ago mainly because my mum dumped a box of my old CDs and cassettes at my house, and I realised I had literally nothing to play them on. I wasn't expecting much, but honestly, it's brilliant. It feels a bit lightweight straight out of the box, but it does exactly what I need. The bluetooth connected instantly to my iPhone which surprised me (usually these retro boomboxes are a complete nightmare to pair). Mostly I've just been blasting my old Oasis tapes while cooking. The sound is actually pretty decent, it gets plenty loud enough to hear over the kitchen extractor fan, though the bass gets a tiny bit muddy if you max the volume right out. The DAB radio is a nice bonus too and picks up stations crystal clear. If you just want a straightforward, no-fuss player to dig out your 90s collection, you really can't go wrong.

It is called a BoomBox, but if you come from an era when these were being used, the boom is missing. Don’t get me wrong, for a little machine the sound is quite powerful, but there is no adjustment for the bass/treble. There is the button for DBB, dynamic bass boost, but without it the sound is poor. I will not be switching this little button off, ever! It is a neat and tidy machine and can be portable with batteries. I haven’t tried the sleep timer yet, but this is a great additional feature. If CDs are your thing, it plays them along with tapes, USB sticks and you can connect to your mobile with Bluetooth, which I love. The carry handle is a dip at the back of the machine not an actual handle that you pull up to use. Overall, for the size, it is a versatile mighty little addition to your life. Great to take away on Staycations due to its size.

Es lässt sich kein Kopfhörer, weder über AUX noch via Bluetooth, anschließen um Kassetten, CDs oder Radio für sich zu hören. Von den viel angepriesenen Features fehlt diese grundlegende Funktion.
