Rondlopen door het ziekenhuis van de toekomst, ervaren hoe het is om in een MRI-scanner te liggen óf zelf een C-boog bij een operatietafel bedienen? Het kan binnenkort allemaal. Philips opent namelijk op 11 juni de deuren op de High Tech Campus tijdens het Dutch Technology Festival.

Een kijkje in de toekomst

Jong en oud kan tijdens de ‘High Tech Ontdekkingsroute’ een kijkje nemen in de toekomst van de gezondheidszorg en ontdekken welke rol technologie speelt in het verbeteren van het leven en de gezondheid van mensen.

Er zijn allerlei interessante workshops en demo’s die op een interactieve manier laten zien hoe techniek in de gezondheidszorg wordt toegepast. Aan de hand van een trend-tour leren bezoekers meer over de digitalisering van de zorg, de rol die AI (kunstmatige intelligentie) speelt in de zorg en hoe Philips circulariteit verwerkt in het ontwerp van de producten.

Zelf prikken

Bezoekers kunnen door middel van VR zien hoe het ziekenhuis van de toekomst wordt gebouwd. Verder kunnen zij een C-boog bedienen, ervaren hoe het is om in een MRI te liggen of oefenen met het plaatsen van een naald op de gewenste plek in het lichaam.

Als onderdeel van het Philips Innovation Center Eindhoven mag de Best Campus niet ontbreken. Philips-medewerkers leiden bezoekers via een virtuele tour rond over de Best Campus.

Ook voor kinderen is er van alles te zien en beleven op de High Tech Campus. In samenwerking met het Philips Museum kunnen zij testjes doen met hun longen, ‘proeven’ met de neus en van alles te weten komen over het lichaam, bijvoorbeeld hoe groot je botten zijn en hoeveel hartkloppingen iemand heeft. Ze kunnen bouwen aan de ‘Gezonde Stad van de toekomst’ of luisteren naar een speciaal geschreven sprookje. Er zijn workshops en mini-coderings-sessies met Casper de Robot.

Op zoek naar talent

Met het organiseren van de Ontdekkingsroute wil Philips jongeren bewust maken van het belang van de technische sector, ze enthousiasmeren voor techniek en inspireren om een technische opleiding te gaan volgen. Maar het festival is niet alleen interessant voor jongeren: alle tech-liefhebbers van 0 tot 99 jaar zijn welkom om de laatste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van gezondheidstechnologie te zien en te ervaren.

Colleges techniekgeschiedenis in het Philips Museum

Ook het Philips Museum doet als hotspot mee aan de Ontdekkingsroute. In het museum worden mini-colleges georganiseerd met als thema ‘De geschiedenis van technologische ontwikkelingen’ (in het Nederlands en Engels). Bezoekers krijgen tijdens de colleges uitleg over een onderwerp uit de techniekgeschiedenis waarbij Philips een grote rol speelt of heeft gespeeld.

De High Tech Ontdekkingsroute is vrij toegankelijk voor iedereen.
Er zijn gratis parkeerplaatsen op het terrein van de Campus. In de buurt van het Philips Museum zijn verschillende parkeergarages aanwezig.

Do you wonder what the hospital of the future looks like, or would you like to experience being in an MRI scanner or operate a C-arm in surgery? It is all possible on June 11th, as Philips is opening its doors at the High Tech Campus as one of the ‘hotspots’ of the Dutch Technology Festival.

A glimpse into the future

During the High Tech Discovery Route visitors of all ages can get a glimpse of the future of healthcare and the role technology has in improving the health of people. Throughout the day, interactive demonstrations and fun activities will show how technology is being applied in the healthcare industry. A great opportunity to learn more about digitalization of healthcare, the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and on how circularity is embedded in the design of healthcare products.

Virtual tour

Visitors can see how the hospital of the future is built with the help of VR, operate a C-arm in surgery, experience what it is like to be in an MRI scanner or practice placing a needle at the right location of the body. As an important part of the Philips Innovation Center Eindhoven, the Best Campus is also part of the tour. Philips employees will show visitors around the Best Campus via a virtual tour at the auditorium.
 
For children there is lots to see and experience during this day. In collaboration with the Philips Museum, children can explore the human body and learn more about their bones, heartbeat or how you can ‘taste’ with your nose. They can build the ‘Healthy City of the Future’ with the Discovery Factory (Ontdekfabriek) or join the other activities at the High Tech Campus, such as listening to a specially written fairytale. There are workshops and mini coding sessies with Casper the Robot.

Search for talent

The High Tech Discovery Route is part of the Dutch Technology Festival. During this festival tech-lovers of all ages can see and experience the latest developments in the area of technology. By being part of this Festival and opening its doors at the High Tech Discovery Route, Philips wants to make future talent aware of the importance of healthcare technology and inspire them for an education in technology.

Mini lectures in the Philips Museum

The Philips Museum is another ‘hotspot’ during the High Tech Discovery Route. In the Museum you can attend mini lectures (in Dutch and in English) on the history of technological developments. The lectures will give you more insights on how the technology in our daily lives are connected.

The event on June 11th is free and open to the public. Free parking is available at the High Tech Campus. For the Philips Museum, there are several parking opportunities in the vicinity of the Museum.
