Verbinding staat centraal bij Philips ExperienceLab in Eindhoven

Gemiddelde leestijd: 1-3 minuten

Connecting takes center stage at the Philips ExperienceLab in Eindhoven

Whether they are Philips colleagues, health technology startups, politicians, or healthcare administrators. Everyone is inspired during a visit to Philips' ExperienceLab at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.

Visitors know how to find the ExperienceLab increasingly well. This reflects in the increasing number of visitors. In total, more than 2,200 people received a tour of the ExperienceLab in 2022. The number of visits stood at 245 visits with 850 external visitors. They visited the Lab at the invitation of Philips. The rest of the visitors consisted of colleagues from all levels of the organization. In terms of visitor numbers, last year was truly a record year for the Lab.

Mirjam Wouters, manager ExperienceLab: "The museum mainly shows the past, the Customer Experience Center in Best shows the current portfolio and we show the future of healthcare. There is apparently a lot of need for that vision."

Vision

The ExperienceLab is the place where partners, stakeholders, and colleagues can learn about Philips' vision of healthcare. And that opportunity is frequently used. Jeroen Dijsselbloem, mayor of Eindhoven, visited the ExperienceLab at the end of November. He found it extraordinary to see how Philips has developed into a health technology company. In addition, radiologists, oncologists, and cardiologists visit the lab.

Innovation portfolio

The ExperienceLab shows how care pathways can be connected. The value for Philips is partly in highlighting its innovations, while the value for visitors is in finding solutions to their daily challenges. Mirjam: "The visitors to the lab are mainly healthcare providers. With these experts, we engage in a conversation about how our vision and innovations can improve their work by addressing and solving the biggest challenges."

Various stages

Located in Building 33 on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, the Lab is divided into three spaces that display multiple stages of healthcare. It is an inspiring environment in which innovation is visible and tangible. This look behind the scenes of modern technology and innovation is built using patient experiences and specific needs of hospital staff.

Multiple labs under one roof

The first area, the House of the Future, focuses primarily on home monitoring and includes wearable devices for various home applications. Here, it shows how high-risk pregnancies can be monitored at home and how patients need to travel to the hospital less often because care can be given at home. The second space is the diagnostic lab and shows more about rapid precise diagnoses made using artificial intelligence, improving the experience of patients and staff. The third space includes an operating room, where visitors will learn more about technology of the future in the operating room.

Connect

The lab displays Philips' future vision of healthcare. Crucial to this is making smart connections, a key feature of the ExperienceLab. Mirjam: "We connect colleagues from multiple departments to work together here. We connect departments with customers or stakeholders for innovative solutions. And we connect technologies with each other for innovations."
