GLOW in the Philips Museum

The most innovative light installations by national and international artists will transform Eindhoven into the largest public light exhibition from November 6 to 13, 2021, with the theme Moved by Light. Since the first Philips light bulb factory (now the Philips Museum) meant the origin of light in Eindhoven, we pay extra attention to this festival.

Glow in the center

This year there is no walking route through the city, but there are light artworks to see in different parts of Eindhoven. Around the Philips Museum (heart of the center) there are several gates of light to be seen by artist Valerio Festi.

Glow in the museum

Also on display is the light artwork Private Light by Titia Ex, on the chimney of the museum. Since 2019, this work has been given a permanent place.

Every day between Saturday 6 and Sunday 14 November, especially for Glow, you can see either the theatrical performance De Lamp (about the creation of the first Philips light bulb) or the mini-lecture 'From radio lamp to LED lamp', both in Dutch.

Giveaway

In addition, we have a special giveaway in the month of November. Children who visit the Philips Museum from 6 November will receive a craft kit from us to make a lamp at home. As long as stocks last.
