The crazy professors of Mad Science are taking over the Philips Museum for a whole weekend! It will be a spectacular weekend with new experiments, exciting demonstrations and surprising activities.
Come to the stunning Fire and Ice show, let your hair stand up straight and discover the difference between chemical and physical reactions! There is also, of course, the opportunity to visit the entire museum and discover how Philips developed from light bulb manufacturer to a global corporation.
Fire and Ice Show
Amazing experiments with air, fire and ice! Dry ice at -79 degrees Celsius and showering without water, is that even possible?
There will be 6 shows a day at 11:15, 12:15, 13:15, 14:15, 15:15 and 16:15 at De Vest in the Philips Museum. It is not possible to reserve a ticket in advance.
Rainbow Reaction Tube
Make your own rainbow in a test tube! Our crazy professor talks about all the colors of the rainbow, and how we can make them with our 3 primary colors.
Chemical Reactions
Do you know the difference between chemical and physical reactions? Find out during the chemistry experiments and finish with a crazy chemical cannon!
Electricity
Discover the powers of static electricity and make your hair stand up with the van de Graaff generator. Lightning flashes and saucers fly around. Make circuits and test conductors. Put your hands on the plasma ball and learn why lightning strikes tall trees.
Glow show
Catch your own shadow and learn the fascinating properties of light, primary colors, the chemical flashlight, and discover more experiments starring light. The Glow show is held continuously. No individual tickets are required.
Will you be coming on Nov. 4 and 5?
