Step into the exciting world of the MRI scan, in which the Philips Museum and illustrator Aniek Bartels join forces to amaze children.
Philips develops many medical devices, such as an X-ray machine or MRI scanner, but lying still in an MRI scanner can be quite a challenge. We want children to experience that they have the power to take on this challenge.
Therefore, 15, 16 & 17 April, children from 4 to 12 can design their own MRI experience at the Philips Museum.
Children will think about what gives them a peaceful feeling. Then they draw their ideal environment. In a spectacular way, they become involved in the ingenious invention of the MRI scan. They learn that technology is an opportunity to shape their own future. By creating their own ideal environment, they discover that they can influence their own world.
Aniek Bartels is an illustrator and designer who uses her hand-drawn illustrations to support children in personal growth, love of nature, sustainability and a healthy lifestyle.
