Philips Design Awards Show gives insight into Philips Design

Every year Philips Design wins dozens of iF, Red Dot and other prestigious international design awards. Especially for Dutch Design Week (DDW), the Philips Museum will be exhibiting a selection of Philips’ recent award-winning designs. The Philips Design Awards Show will give visitors an insight into how the various designs came about. On most days a designer from Philips Design will be on hand to explain about the designs and there will also be design talks – focusing on a different topic each day – between 13:30 and 15:00 hours.

Since it was first founded in 1925, Philips Design has developed into an important partner for strategic change at Philips. Based in 15 studios across the globe, this team of over 500 designers enables us to create products, services and solutions that are truly meaningful for the people who purchase and use them. These days the design team has a crucial role to play in Philips’ transformation into a company that focuses on solutions in health technology. Each year Philips Design wins more than 130 design awards in global competitions. Through this exhibition the designers will give the general public a real insight into the background to the designs.

Dutch Design Week will take place from October 20 to 28. The Philips Museum is a DDW partner, which means entry is free of charge with a DDW passe-partout ticket.
