PSV clubarts vraagt in Telegraaf aandacht voor hartveiliger samenleving

PSV clubarts Suzanne Huurman pleit voor meer AED-apparaten in Nederland. Niet alleen bij haar werkgever PSV, maar ook in de media. Bij een hartstilstand op het sportveld ben je veiliger dan in je eigen huis, zo zegt ze in een artikel in de Telegraaf. Bij een hartstilstand is het cruciaal om de getroffen persoon binnen 6 minuten te reanimeren. De overlevingskans van het slachtoffer is namelijk het grootst als direct 112 wordt gebeld, er binnen 6 minuten begonnen wordt met reanimeren én een AED wordt ingezet. Philips, marktleider op het gebied van AED’s, werkt al jaren samen met de Hartstichting aan een hartveiligere samenleving. PSV trekt daarin met beide partners op om niet alleen de club hartveiliger te maken, maar ook om aandacht te vragen voor de zogenoemde ‘6 minutenzone’. 

Trainers en ondersteunend personeel van de PSV Academy volgden onlangs een reanimatie- en AED-training op PSV Campus De Herdgang. Ook de A-selectie heeft een dergelijke training gehad. Nu roept Huurman burgers op om ervoor te zorgen dat er voldoende AED-apparaten door het land hangen en dat deze ook zijn aangemeld bij HartslagNu. Een optie om zelf bij te dragen aan een hartveiligere samenleving, is het bij elkaar sparen van een AED met korting, met het crowdfunding platform BuurtAED, een initiatief van Philips en de Hartstichting.

PSV is working with both partners to not only make the club more heart-safe, but also to draw attention to the so-called '6-minute zone'. 

Trainers and support staff from the PSV Academy recently attended a CPR and AED training course on PSV Campus De Herdgang. The A-selection has also had a similar training. Now Huurman is calling on citizens to ensure that there are enough AED devices hanging around the country and that they have also been registered with HartslagNu. An option to contribute to a safer society, is to collectively save an AED at a discount, with the crowdfunding platform BuurtAED, an initiative of Philips and the Heart Foundation.
