Binnen Philips verantwoordelijk voor: Strategy and Control
Gerard Ruizendaal trad in 1984 bij Philips in dienst als manager van Accounting Policies & Directives in Eindhoven. Van 1986 tot 1990 bekleedde hij verschillende functies als Financial Controller. Van 1991 tot 1995 was Gerard Ruizendaal Chief Financial Officer bij Philips Lighting Europe en tot 1998 Chief Financial Officer bij Philips Lighting Asia, met als standplaats Hongkong en Singapore. Tot 2001 was hij Chief Financial Officer voor Philips Consumer Communications in Parijs. Gerard Ruizendaal werd in 2001 benoemd tot Group Controller en in 2005 tot hoofd van de afdeling Group Strategy. Hij behaalde een mastertitel in economie en handelsrecht aan de Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam, alsmede een doctoraat in accountancy aan de universiteit van Tilburg. Daarnaast is hij Certified Public Accountant onder Nederlands recht.
